The Youth Council Scholarships fund aims to support and celebrate our city’s young people by inspiring and supporting them to take up growth opportunities and to engage in events and activities in sports, the arts, community endeavours and education.

It aims to provide access to meaningful opportunities that support the growth, leadership and aspirations of rangatahi, inspiring them to pursue their goals and thrive in their chosen pathways.

Submit a report within two months of your use of the scholarship funds, detailing outcomes and a breakdown of funds spent

Allow Palmerston North City Council and Palmerston North Youth Council to use your report content (e.g. videos, photos, social media posts) for promotional purposes.

Return any unused funds to Palmerston North City Council by 30 May 2027

Submit proof of identity (passport, NZ driver licence, school ID, with birth certificate AND proof of a bank account (deposit slip or online banking screenshot) if successful in this application.

If requested, cooperate with funding audits/reviews, to verify funds were used appropriately and in line with the approved project.

Acknowledge the Palmerston North Youth Council funding at event openings, presentations or performances, or on any marketing material, where applicable.
